Encrypted in transit

Every connection uses TLS, and mail we send is signed with DKIM and protected by SPF and DMARC so it cannot be spoofed.

Two-factor and passkeys

Protect your account with an authenticator app or a passkey, so a stolen password is not enough on its own.

No ads, ever

We sell mailboxes, not attention. Your mail is never scanned to build an advertising profile and is never sold.

Remote content blocked

Images and trackers stay blocked until you choose to load them, so opening mail does not report back to the sender.

Questions

Can I keep using my current email address?: Yes. You can forward mail from your existing address into FoundersMail, and forward FoundersMail to it. Most people run both for a while before switching over.
Does it work with Apple Mail or Outlook?: Yes. FoundersMail is a standard IMAP and SMTP server, so any mail app can connect to it. You generate a separate app password in settings and use that.
Can I use my own domain?: On the Business plan, yes — you point a few DNS records at us and your addresses work exactly the same.
What happens to my mail if I leave?: It's yours. Because it's ordinary IMAP, you can connect any mail client and download everything, or set up forwarding on the way out.
Is my email encrypted?: Connections are encrypted with TLS and messages are encrypted at rest on our servers. We do not claim end-to-end encryption: like any provider that filters spam and lets you search your mail, we can technically access it. PGP is supported if you need end-to-end for specific messages.
