Terms of service

These are the rules for using FoundersMail. They are written to be read once and understood, not to be impressive.

Last updated 23 September 2026

The agreement

FoundersMail is a service of ORXON LLC. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself. Turn on two-factor authentication if your mail matters, which it does.

If your mailbox was created for you by an administrator of your organisation, that administrator can open it. That is a property of a managed mail service and is described in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Do not use FoundersMail to:

  • send unsolicited bulk mail, in any quantity or under any euphemism;
  • impersonate someone else, or forge message headers to hide where mail came from;
  • distribute malware, run phishing campaigns, or attempt to gain access to systems or accounts you have no right to;
  • break the law of any place the mail travels through;
  • interfere with the service — probing it for weaknesses, evading rate limits, or automating it in a way that degrades it for others.

A mail server’s reputation is shared by everyone on it. Spam sent from one mailbox lands every other customer’s mail in a spam folder, so we enforce this seriously and quickly.

Price

FoundersMail is free. There are no paid plans, and we never ask for payment details.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable use rules above, or that we are required to act on by law. Where the situation allows it we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where mail is actively harming other people — an account sending spam, say — we will act first and explain afterwards.

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Security. Doing so deletes your mailbox and its contents.

Availability

We work to keep FoundersMail running and your mail safe, but we do not promise the service will never be unavailable. Mail is a distributed system and parts of it are outside our control.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. This is good advice regardless of who provides your mail.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, ORXON LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use FoundersMail after that means you accept the new version.
